Your 10 free
Claude prompts.

Made for working moms. Tested with three kids under eight and a full-time job. Save this page — you'll come back to it.

These aren't generic prompts. They're the ones that actually work on a Tuesday at 5pm when dinner needs to happen, your inbox won't stop, and your toddler is climbing the furniture.

i.
Mental load
Brain dump to clarity

Everything spinning in your head — the permission slip, the low diapers, the deadline — doesn't have to live there. Dump it all. Claude sorts it into something you can actually act on.

Copy this prompt
"Here's everything spinning in my head right now: [dump it all, messy is fine]. Sort this into: do today, do this week, delegate, and let go."
ii.
Household
Weekly meal plan in 2 minutes

End the 5pm "what's for dinner?" spiral. Give Claude your constraints — picky eaters, time, what's already in the fridge — and get a full week of realistic dinners back.

Copy this prompt
"Plan 5 weeknight dinners for a family with a [ages] year old. Max 30 min cook time. I have [ingredients] already. My [child] won't eat [food]. Include a grocery list sorted by store section."
iii.
Work & career
Draft emails while half-present

You're sharp at 9am but by 4pm your brain is already at pickup. Connect Claude to Gmail and it reads the full thread before drafting — no copying and pasting context.

Copy this prompt
"Read my email thread with [name or subject]. Draft a reply that [what you need to say — rough is fine]. Under 120 words, confident but warm, and end with a clear next step."
Pro tip: Connect Claude to Gmail in Settings → Connectors. Claude reads the real thread — you don't have to paste anything.
iv.
Kids' schedules
Catch childcare gaps before they happen

Connect Claude to your Google Calendar and Gmail and it scans the next 3 months for you — finding the summer gaps, early closures, and sports conflicts before they become a crisis.

Copy this prompt
"Look at my Google Calendar and Gmail for the next 3 months. Find: any days with no childcare coverage, school closures or holidays, kids' activity conflicts where two need to be in different places, and any camp or program deadlines I might be missing. Flag the urgent gaps."
Pro tip: Connect Google Calendar and Gmail in Settings → Connectors. Claude scans the real data — catches the things you forgot to worry about.
v.
Planning & systems
Your weekly chief of staff brief

Run this Friday afternoon, Sunday night, or first thing Monday and get a full week plan back — priorities by day, dinner suggestions from what you already have, and your top 5 must-dos. No overwhelm. Just a clear picture.

Copy this prompt
"Here is my schedule this week: [paste your work calendar highlights]. My kids have: [list activities and pickups]. I have in my fridge: [quick list]. The three things stressing me most this week are: [list them]. Act as my chief of staff. Give me a priority plan by day, flag where I am over-scheduled, suggest dinners for each night based on what I have, and write out my top 5 must-dos for the week. Keep it simple and realistic for a mom with a full-time job."
Best time to run it: Friday afternoon before you close out, Sunday night, or first thing Monday. Any of the three works — pick whichever fits how your brain plans.
Pro tip: Want to make this even faster? If you use Google Calendar, you can connect it directly to Claude so it already knows your schedule before you type a word. Claude will read your actual calendar and plan around what's already there. No copy-pasting your schedule. Just fill in the kids and the fridge.
vi.
Parenting
Script a hard conversation

Your child heard something scary, or is being left out at school, or asking about something you don't have words for. Claude helps you find the right words — gentle, honest, age-appropriate.

Copy this prompt
"My [age]-year-old is asking about [topic]. Help me explain this honestly and age-appropriately without creating fear. Give me 3–4 sentences I can say tonight at bedtime."

Meeting prep in 5 minutes

You didn't sleep great. Big meeting in 20 minutes. Connect Claude to your calendar and it pulls the invite, reads the pre-read emails, and hands you a cheat sheet before you've finished your coffee.

Copy this prompt
"I have a meeting called [name] in [X] minutes. Pull the calendar invite and any related emails. Give me: who's attending, 3 points I should make, one smart question to ask, and the single thing I must leave having accomplished."
Pro tip: With Google Calendar and Gmail connected, Claude finds the meeting itself — you just say the meeting name.
viii.
Mental load
The "do I really need to do this" filter

Your to-do list was never meant to be all yours. With Gmail connected, Claude scans your inbox too — surfacing the tasks hiding in unread threads you haven't even captured yet.

Copy this prompt
"Here's my to-do list: [paste it]. Also scan my Gmail inbox from the last 3 days for anything I owe someone or said I'd do. I have [X] real hours today. Sort everything into: do now, delegate, drop, and reply needed."
ix.
Household
Grocery list, auto-generated

Once you have your meal plan, Claude turns it into a complete grocery list automatically — sorted by store section so you're not zigzagging the aisles with a toddler in the cart.

Copy this prompt
"Based on these 5 dinners: [list meals], create a complete grocery list. I already have: [pantry staples]. Organise by: produce, protein, dairy, pantry, and frozen."
x.
Self-care
5-minute journaling, just for you

You give all day. This one is just for you. A single gentle prompt to help you decompress, process, or simply remember you're a full person — not just a mom and an employee.

Copy this prompt
"Give me one journaling prompt for a working mom who had a [hard / good / ordinary] day. I have 5 minutes. Make it something that helps me feel seen, not productive."
